Drug Uses

Adalat is primarily used to treat angina (chest pain caused by lack of oxygen to the heart) and also for preventing hypertension.

Usage

Use exactly as directed by your doctor. The pill may be taken with or without food. Do not crush or chew the pill. Ensure that you swallow it whole.

Missed Dose

If you miss a dose take it as soon as you remember. However if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the Missed Dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one

Storage

Store it in a tight container away from light and heat. Store at room temperature.

Overdose

Some of the typical symptoms of Adalat overdose include dizziness, fainting, loss of consciousness, rapid, slow, or irregular heartbeat. Seek medical attention immediately if you suspect an overdose.

Adalat is used to control hypertension but in some cases it may cause your blood pressure to become extremely low making you dizzy or drowsy. Do not consume alcohol while using the drug. You may develop swelling of the arms, hands, legs, and feet while using the drug. Discuss your medical condition in detail with your doctor and use only if prescribed.

constipation; dizziness; flushing; giddiness; headache; heat sensation; heartburn; lightheadedness; nausea; weakness.
Seek medical attention right away if any of these severe side effects occur:

severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); irregular pulse; shortness of breath; swelling of the feet or hands; tender, bleeding, or swollen gums.
